2023 Mercedes GLS Unveiled: Fresh Looks, Upgraded Features, and 48V Mild Hybrid Technology

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the 2023 GLS, an updated version of its popular SUV, with a range of new features and design changes. The facelifted GLS aims to take on its rivals with sharper looks, an upgraded equipment list, and 48V mild hybrid technology as standard.

Interior gets new colour choices and trims to choose from

The most noticeable change is the huge four-slat grille that dominates the front profile, replacing the previous two-slat grille. The headlights have also been updated with new light elements inside and revised DRLs design, and the front bumper looks sportier.

On the sides, the new alloy wheel design gives the GLS a fresh look, while the rear profile features an all-new bumper and new tail lights. Mercedes has also revealed the AMG and Maybach versions of the GLS, both of which look impressive.

All the engine options of the GLS now get 48V mild hybrid tech

Inside the cabin, the GLS gets some changes, including new steering wheel design options, new colour tone options, and more trim options. Mercedes has also upgraded the standard equipment on offer, with new options to choose from, and updated the MBUX infotainment system.

Under the hood, the engine options remain unchanged, but all powertrains now come with 48V mild hybrid technology as standard. This will improve efficiency and reduce emissions.

The new GLS is expected to arrive in India by the end of this year or early next year. With its fresh looks, upgraded features, and advanced technology, the 2023 Mercedes GLS is sure to turn heads on the road.
