A Heart-Wrenching Incident In Ludhiana, A 15-Year-Old Boy Was Attacked With A Sharp Weapon By Attackers Who Broke Into The Civil Hospital, Died.

A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Ludhiana Civil Hospital. A group of 15 assailants entered the emergency ward late on Thursday night and attacked a 15-year-old minor with sharp weapons, killing him. According to the FIR, the incident took place in the presence of doctors, nurses and patients when a group of assailants attacked the youth with a sword and an ax in their hands. When the young man tried to save his life,culprits broke the windows and doors of the hospital.The surprising thing is that despite Ludhiana Police setting up a special checkpoint inside the Civil Hospital premises.Not only this, According to Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kaustubh Sharma, three policemen under the leadership of Assistant Sub-Inspector Rajinder Singh are stationed at the Civil Hospital police post, but no one was present on duty last night. CP Sharma said, “An inquiry has been marked and action will be taken accordingly”. The victim was identified as Sawan Kumar, 15 years old and a class 9 student of EWS Colony, Ludhiana, who along with his elder brother Sumit and brother-in-law Rajveer reached the emergency ward of the hospital at around 11.25 pm.

The police said that two groups of youths of EWS Colony had been facing each other for many days and there had been small clashes earlier too. Then another group attacked Sumit with a glass bottle on his head, after which he reached the hospital for a check-up along with Sawan and Rajveer. In his statement to the police, Rajveer said that he and Sumit had gone inside the emergency ward, and Sawan was waiting outside. Soon, at least 15 people from the second group reached the hospital on bikes and surrounded Sawan. Rajveer said in his statement, he (the attacker) started attacking him with sword, ax and other sharp weapons.
