Born on 1 May 1987 in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, Mandy Takhar was inclined towards acting since she was a child. After completing her graduation, she pursued her passion by studying theatre at England’s Kingston University. In 2009, she moved to Mumbai to fulfill her dream of becoming an actress.

Mandy made her debut in the Punjabi film industry in 2010 with “Ekam – Son of Soil.” However, it was her portrayal of Sahiba in “Mirza – The Untold Story” opposite Gippy Grewal that catapulted her to stardom. Since then, she has appeared in several popular Punjabi films, including “Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22,” “Sardar Ji,” and “Rabb Da Radio.”
