Blinkit Launches 10-Minute BLS Ambulance Service in Gurugram, Plans Nationwide Expansion

Quick commerce company Blinkit has launched a 10-minute Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance service in Gurugram, equipped with essential medical supplies like oxygen cylinders and Automated External Defibrillators (AED).

Each ambulance is staffed with a paramedic, an assistant, and a trained driver to ensure swift medical care. The service, initially rolled out with five ambulances, aims to address the critical need for fast and reliable emergency medical services in Indian cities.

Future Expansion Plans
Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa shared that the service, currently operational in Gurugram, is part of the company’s broader vision to provide timely healthcare assistance. Users will soon be able to book a BLS ambulance directly through the Blinkit app. The company plans to scale this initiative to other cities, with full expansion expected in the next two years. This innovative step highlights Blinkit’s commitment to blending quick commerce with essential community services.
