The Union Government has issued notification to the employees of Chandigarh administration to be included in the service rule of the Center. These will be effective from April 1. The Union Home Minister yesterday announced the implementation of Central Service Rules in Chandigarh instead of the existing Punjab Service Rules. A notification in this regard has also been issued today.
These rules would apply to all employees of Chandigarh administration. This is another robbery of the rights of Punjab by the Central Government and a decision contrary to the Punjab Reorganization Act, 1966. Earlier also the first rule regarding Bhakra Dam was repealed and it was announced to get members from all over India regarding the dam.When home minister came to Chandigarh he gave 500 crore for development of Chandigarh and Maybe Decison of Central service Rules in Chandigarh are taken after lossing in election.
