Extortion Threat to Parmish Verma’s Business Associate; ₹10 Crore Ransom Demand Allegedly Linked to Bishnoi Gang

Fresh concerns have emerged after a business associate of Punjabi singer Parmish Verma allegedly received a series of threatening calls demanding ₹10 crore in ransom. The caller reportedly identified himself as “Harry Boxer,” claiming links to the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang.

According to the complaint filed by Harvinder Singh, who manages business operations related to the singer, the threats began on February 14 from multiple numbers. The caller allegedly warned that if the ransom was not paid, harm would be caused to him, his associate, and their family members. The threat also included claims of having detailed personal information about their relatives.

Following the complaint, an FIR has been registered at Sarabha Nagar Police Station against an unidentified individual under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 308(2) and 351(3).

Police officials have confirmed that technical investigations are underway, particularly focusing on the foreign numbers used to make the calls. Senior officers have been informed, and authorities state that the safety of the concerned family is being ensured while the probe continues.

The incident adds to a growing pattern of threat calls targeting Punjabi artists and business figures, prompting renewed discussions about security and law enforcement measures in the state.
