So Where it all Started?
In the 80’s Punjab was going through a critical condition and due to that Punjab Government issued arms licenses on a mass scale for safety purposes. Along with this Senior leader/Politician was allotted a large number of security personnel who used to escort them while travelling via this they don’t need to stop on Signal lights and other facilites. According to experts, this spread negatively impacted the Youth of Punjab.

Seeing this all, the youth Realized that after rising up in the powers hierarchy there is no need to stop at any traffic signal and neither can the police stop them and No one can ask any questions. Even during Elections Money & Muscle power were used to create a win-win situation for both leader and the audience, In which politics helped their supporters to get these licensed arms easily. From this people feel armed weapons as a status symbol. Also, Most of the gun licenses in Punjab were issued during the militancy period.

Apart from that Punjab has 2% of India’s population but it has 10% of total gun licenses. So where do we stand now? We are wrong, our demands and choices are wrong which results are today’s situation.
