In the Kothi number-3045 of famous Punjabi comedian and artist Jaswinder Bhalla, a robbery worth lakhs of rupees has come to light by taking his mother Satwant Kaur (80) hostage. Bhalla’s servant Aryan along with three accomplices carried out the robbery. At the time of the incident, the Bhalla family along with Ludhiana had gone to a function. After the servant escaped, Bhalla’s mother herself opened her arms and legs tied with a rope and called Bhalla’s fellow artist Balmukund Sharma and informed about the matter.It was Balmukund who informed Jaswinder over phone in Ludhiana and asked him to come to Mohali. When Bhalla returned home in the evening, he reported the matter to the police. On the spot, SP City Jagbinder Singh, DSP and SHO Mataur Naveen Pal reached the palace. The four robbers are seen carrying out the crime in the CCTV camera installed in the house.On the CCTV footage and statements of Bhalla, the police have started the search for the accused by registering a case against a total of 4 people, including the servant Aryan, under sections 392, 397, 452 and 442 of the IPC
The servant Aryan is said to be a resident of Nepal.Jaswinder Bhalla, who also took away jewelery and licensed revolvers worth lakhs, has refused to divulge information in this case. But SHO Naveen Pal told that the servant Aryan called three of his companions to the house in Bhalla’s absence and tied Bhalla’s mother to the chair with ropes. Then pulled the earrings and bangles from the hands. After that, Bhalla and his son escaped from Pukhraj’s room on the first floor of the kothi with cash worth lakhs, Bhalla’s .32 bore licensed revolver and other gold ornaments.Aryan a nepali boy , who was hired 10 days ago, SHO Naveen told that Jaswinder Bhalla had hired the servant Aryan 10 days ago, due to which his police verification was not done. Aryan was kept by Bhalla’s trusted servant working earlier. Comedian Jaswinder Bhalla has also shifted from Ludhiana to Mohali some time back. He has a kothi in Phase-7, where he lives with his family.
