Punjabi singer, also known as ‘Geetaan Di Machine’, Karan Aujla is all set to perform at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League 2025 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday alongside Disha Patani. The duo recently featured in the song which was a huge collaboration as it featured Karan and Disha alongside One Republic’s Ryan Tedder.
The Indian Premier League, a cricket league that is celebrated as a festival in India, is all set to kick off with its 2025 edition at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens where Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders.
Apart from Karan Aujla and Disha Patani, Shreya Ghoshal will also perform at the opening ceremony, as announced by the Indian Premier League.
In the previous editions, Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and singers Sonu Nigam, and Arijit Singh along with AR Rahman were the key performers at opening ceremonies. Likewise, the renowned Swedish DJ and record producer DJ Axwell also showcased their talent during the mid-innings break in IPL 2024.

The opening ceremony of IPL 2025 is likely to begin at around 6:00 pm IST before the inaugural match gets into action. The event will be broadcast via the Star Sports networks and live-streamed on the JioHotstar app and website.
