In a significant turn of events, Sachin, the alleged mastermind behind the murder of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, has been arrested by the Dubai Police in Azerbaijan. Reports indicate that an Indian team has been dispatched to Azerbaijan to facilitate his extradition.
According to the Delhi Police, Sachin meticulously planned Moosewala’s murder by communicating through coded language with accomplices spread across various locations. These include Satinderjit Singh, also known as Goldie Brar, a gang leader based in Canada; Kala Jathedi, currently detained in Tihar Jail; and Lawrence Bishnoi. The choice of coded language was an attempt to elude intelligence agencies’ suspicion, with Sachin referring to Goldie Brar as ‘doctor’ and Kala Jathedi as ‘Alpha’. Communication with Lawrence Bishnoi was conducted through their shared contacts.
In a calculated move to mislead the Punjab and Delhi Police, Sachin circulated a rumor on social media stating he had personally killed Sidhu Moosewala. This step was taken to sow confusion among the police forces while Sachin made his escape abroad on April 21, 2022, before the murder took place.
Police sources further revealed that Sachin had been using a forged passport for his travels. This counterfeit document, registered under the name Tilak Raj Tuteja, listed an address in Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area. This information came to light when a gang involved in passport forgery was apprehended by the police, leading to the arrest of five individuals, including a woman.
With Sachin’s arrest, the investigators expect a significant progress in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case. It remains to be seen how these revelations will impact the ongoing investigation and what further details will be unearthed as Sachin is brought back to India.
