Among the appointees are three Sikh Canadian MPs taking up crucial positions:
- Maninder Sidhu as Minister of International Trade
- Ruby Sahota as Secretary of State (Combatting Crime)
- Randeep Sarai as Secretary of State (International Development)
This marks a significant step forward for Canada’s South Asian diaspora, which has long advocated for more equitable participation in political decision-making.
