Due to chaos of “agnipath” scheme among youth, The Punjab government is preparing to bring a resolution in the assembly against the Agneepath scheme. This was indicated by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Earlier, Leader of the Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa had also written a letter to the Chief Minister demanding that a resolution should be brought in the Assembly against the Agneepath scheme. Bajwa had said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should take an all-party delegation to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to explain to the Prime Minister why the Agneepath scheme should be withdrawn immediately.

Bajwa had also mentioned that this scheme of the centre will have a negative impact on the youth of Punjab. This will reduce the participation of the youth of Punjab in the army. In such a situation, anti-national forces can benefit.

Now, the resolution has already been passed in the assembly against the plans of the Centre. Not only this, it is not the first time that a resolution has been passed in the Punjab Assembly against any scheme of the Central Government. Even before this, from time to time, many resolutions against the decisions of the centers have been passed in the assembly.

Earlier in 2020, a resolution against three agricultural laws was also passed in the Punjab Assembly. Prior, the Captain Amarinder Singh government had also passed a resolution against three agricultural laws. In addition to B.S.F. Range of 50 km A resolution has also been passed against the decision to do so. Now in the next budget session, a resolution can also be passed against the Agneepath scheme.
