The Punjab government Recently issued registration mark state code PB. It has decided to confiscate the vehicles violating the norms and deduct the challan. And other conditions of the mark. This order shall apply to all vehicles registered with the Registration Authority after 12-06-1989. The Department of Transportation has also issued orders to immediately block these numbers on the vehicle website.
These fancy numbers allotted in violation of the Act were canceled on 30-12-2020 declaring these numbers illegal.Disclosing this here today Punjab Transport Minister Mr. Laljit Singh Bhullar said that those who have such fancy number plates can get new fancy numbers as per the notification issued by the state government on 10-12-2020 under Rule 42-A of Punjab Motor Vehicle Act. . . He said that aspirants for new fancy numbers should fulfill Sections 39, 41 (6) and 217 (d) of MVA.The Minister also directed the Regional Transport Authorities to set up special roadblocks to check these numbers and seize the vehicles which violate the rules.
