In a landmark step toward administrative transparency and citizen convenience, the Punjab government today launched the country’s first “Easy Registration” system. The initiative was officially dedicated to the public by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal during a special event held in Mohali. Designed as a fast-track digital portal for property registration, this system aims to simplify the entire registry process—from document submission to final approval—through a mobile-friendly platform. This launch marks a significant moment in Punjab’s governance model, emphasizing digital empowerment and ease of access.
While unveiling the new system, CM Mann and Kejriwal emphasized that citizens would no longer need to visit multiple government offices or rely on middlemen to get their property work done. “Everything from start to finish will now be accessible on your phone—fast, clear, and transparent,” said Kejriwal. The portal is expected to significantly reduce corruption, save time, and improve efficiency for both the public and government departments. With Punjab leading the way, this system may soon become a model for other Indian states aiming to modernize their property registration processes.
