Rs 20 Lakh Bounty Declared for Terrorists Involved in Pahalgam Attack

Srinagar – In a powerful public display of resistance against terrorism, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have plastered streets and villages in Shopian and South Kashmir with wanted posters of three terrorists involved in the Pahalgam massacre. Each carries a reward of Rs 20 lakh, as authorities seek help from the public to track down the attackers.

The terrorists, identified as Asif Fauji (alias Moosa), Suleman Shah (alias Yunus), and Abu Talha (alias Asif), are Pakistani nationals, and allegedly members of The Resistance Front (TRF) — a proxy of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Security agencies say the trio were responsible for the brutal killing of 26 people, most of them innocent tourists, in an attack that has shocked the entire nation. “The public must know who these people are. We are standing together to defeat terror,” said a senior officer involved in the manhunt.

To protect those who come forward, the police have promised complete confidentiality. This is part of a broader effort to mobilise local support and intelligence gathering, as India continues its fight against cross-border terrorism.

In response to the Pahalgam attack, the Indian military launched Operation Sindoor, a precision campaign against terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK. Prime Minister Modi later confirmed that notorious terror launchpads and training centres were targeted, including Bahawalpur and Muridke, long known to be safe havens for extremists.

As the nation mourns the victims, the message from Kashmir is clear: terrorism will not be tolerated, and the people stand united with the armed forces.
