Sawan Rupowali: The Shining Gem of Punjabi Cinema

Emerging as a notable figure in the Indian film industry, Sawan Rupowali has garnered attention and praise for her engaging performances. Born in Amritsar, Punjab on 7th August 1995, Sawan has etched a place for herself in the hearts of many fans through her versatile roles in various films.

Sawan’s father, Inderjit Rupowali, serves in the railway coach factory in Kapurthala, and she is the sister of Jasmine Rupowali and Anmolpreetkaur Rupowali. A graduate of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, Sawan holds a B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) degree.

Her journey in the realm of acting began with the film ‘Saab Bahadar’ in 2017, a story revolving around a small-town police officer. The following year, she catapulted to prominence for her sterling performance in the sports-drama film ‘Harjeeta’.

Since then, Sawan has featured in several films, including ‘Sikander 2’, ‘Jaddi Sardar’, ‘Unni Ikki’, and the 2021 hit ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’. Her persistent and captivating on-screen presence has proven that she’s a force to be reckoned with in the industry.
