The father of the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, Balkaur Singh, has urged fans to peacefully assemble in Mansa, Punjab, to mark his son’s first death anniversary and “chalk out the next plan” to seek justice for his son. Singh also alleged that there was an attempt to prevent Moosewala’s fans from attending the ‘barsi’ event in large numbers.Sidhu Moosewala, who was known for his socially conscious lyrics and powerful voice, was tragically killed in a road accident on May 29, 2022. On the occasion of his first death anniversary, Singh brought Sidhu’s Thar to the ‘barsi’ event to give the fans a glimpse of it. The event was attended by a large number of fans who came to pay their respects to the late singer and show their support for the family.
Speaking to the media, Singh said, “We want justice for Sidhu. We want the truth to come out. We have faith in the law and the justice system, but we also want the support of the people.
