Tensions Escalate as India Strikes Three Air Bases in Pakistan

In the early hours of Saturday, Pakistan accused India of launching missile and drone attacks on three of its key air force bases. Speaking at an emergency press briefing held at 4 a.m. in Islamabad, Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry, claimed that Indian forces targeted the Nur Khan air base in Rawalpindi, Murid base in Chakwal, and Rafiqui air base in Shorkot, located in Jhang district.

According to Chaudhry, no damage was sustained by critical military infrastructure, and all air force assets remain secure. “Our defenses responded appropriately, and all assets are intact,” he stated.

In a pointed message to New Delhi, Chaudhry added, “Now just wait for our response,” signaling a possible retaliatory move and further heightening cross-border tensions.

The Indian government has not yet issued an official statement on the allegations.
