Amrinder Singh Gill, a versatile and talented figure in the Punjabi entertainment industry, has come a long way since his humble beginnings. Born on 11th May 1976 in Amritsar, Punjab, Gill initially pursued a career in agriculture, obtaining a master’s degree in agricultural science from Guru Nanak Dev University. However, his passion for performing arts eventually led him down the path of becoming a singer, actor, director, and producer.

Gill’s singing career began in 1999 when he recorded his first song “Sanu Ishq Ho Gaya” for Jalandhar Doordarshan’s Kala Doria program. In the early 2000s, he released a series of albums, including “Apni Jaan Ke” and “Ek Vaada,” which helped him gain recognition in the Punjabi music scene. His breakthrough came with the 2006 album “Dildarian,” produced by Sukhshinder Shinda, which earned him multiple award nominations.

Over the years, Gill’s musical career has been marked by successful albums like Judaa and Judaa 2, which won him numerous accolades, including Brit Asia Music Awards and PTC Punjabi Music Awards. In addition to his singing career, Gill has also made a significant impact in Punjabi cinema.

He made his acting debut in 2009 with a supporting role in the film “Munde UK De.” This was followed by lead roles in films like “Ik Kudi Punjab Di,” “Taur Mittran Di,” “Daddy Cool Munde Fool,” and “Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo.”

Gill’s performances in critically acclaimed films like “Angrej,” “Love Punjab,” “Lahoriye,” “Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua,” and “Ashke” have earned him numerous awards, cementing his status as a leading star in Punjabi cinema.

In 2013, Amrinder Gill co-founded Rhythm Boyz Entertainment with manager Karaj Gill, a venture that has helped launch the careers of artists like Gurshabad, Bir Singh, and Amrit Waraich.

The company has produced several successful Punjabi films, including the “Chal Mera Putt” series, which has achieved remarkable box office success both domestically and overseas.

In 2022, Gill made his directorial debut with the film “Chhalla Mud Ke Nahi Aaya,” which became the seventh highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time.
