Three LeT Terrorists Dead in Shopian as PM Modi Warns of Future Strikes

Three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in Shopian, where Indian security forces are engaged in a high-intensity operation on Tuesday. The gunfight followed a surge in counter-terror efforts post the Pahalgam massacre, which claimed 26 lives last month.

This encounter coincides with a fresh round of public poster campaigns in South Kashmir that name and shame the attackers of the Pahalgam strike. Featuring Adil Hussain Thoker, Ali Bhai, and Hashim Musa, the posters also carry a Rs 20 lakh reward for credible tips.

One Terrorist Dead Two Cornered in Shopian Encounter

Speaking publicly for the first time since Operation Sindoor, India’s retaliatory air and ground strike on terror bases inside Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning on Monday.

“We’ve paused our response, not ended it. Any new provocation will be met with decisive action,” he declared.

PM Modi added that Pakistan’s strategy of harboring and exporting terrorism will lead to its own downfall, while India remains committed to safeguarding its citizens through force if necessary.

As the gunfire continues in Shopian, India’s broader strategy appears firm, a blend of tactical ground operations, public messaging, and international signaling that the war on terror is far from over.
