Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has warned the singers who are promoting ‘gun culture’ through their songs. He termed such culture as unacceptable and said that those involved in it would be dealt with severely. Mann condemned the practice of gun culture and gang warfare by some Punjabi singers and urged them to refrain from spreading violence, hatred and evil in the society through their songs.The Chief Minister appealed to such singers to respect the culture and Punjabiness of Punjab and strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, peace and harmony instead of promoting anti-social activities through songs.
An official statement said that Mann called upon the singers to play their role responsibly and promote the cultural heritage of Punjab.
