In Canada, famous Sikh leader Ripudaman Singh Malik has been publicly shot dead. He had openly praised him by writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. He wrote in his letter sent that “Your government has taken many such steps for the Sikh community, which have no precedent. I am sincerely grateful to you for your such unprecedented and positive steps. For expressing gratitude. I just don’t have alphas.”
Apart from this, Ripudaman Singh Malik has an old relationship with controversies. He was also tried for 20 years in the case of blowing up an Air India plane with a bomb blast. In which he was acquitted in the year 2005.
Sikh leader Ripudaman Singh Malik was busy advising Sikhs and Punjabis of Indian origin living in Canada to stay away from separatist leaders. Although earlier Ripudaman Singh used to be an advocate of Khalistan, over time his ideology got separated from Khalistan and now it seems to be the reason for his death.
It is being told that, unknown assailants opened fire on Ripudaman Singh Malik in Surrey city of British Columbia. While the police officers tried to save him, Ripudaman Singh Malik was seriously injured and died due to a bullet fired from nearby
Also the fact, His name came up in the 1985 Air India bombings. After which the Indian government had put him in the black list, while he was acquitted in the year 2005 due to lack of evidence. In this plane crash, all 331 passengers on board including the crew were killed. This plane took off from Canada to Delhi.
