Singer-composer Adnan Sami has once again silenced critics with his trademark wit. After former Pakistani minister Ch Fawad Hussain questioned his Indian citizenship amid political tensions following the Pahalgam terror attack, Sami delivered a stinging reply on social media.
Hussain, reacting to Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s call to expel any remaining Pakistani nationals from India, questioned on X, “What about Adnan Sami?” Without mincing words, Sami retorted, “Who’s going to tell this illiterate idiot,” making it clear he had no patience for baseless jibes.
Fawad Chaudhary tried to take another dig at him, stating: “Our very Own Lahori Adnan Sami aisay lag rahay hein jaisey Balooon se hawa nikal chuki hooo… get well soon.”
Adnan Sami came up with an even harder response: “Even that you didn’t get right you dumb Ass… My roots are from Peshawar- Not Lahore!! To think that you were Minister of (Mis) Information and did not know any information!!!! Meri tho hawa nikal gaee- Tu abhi bhi Balloon hai! And you were Minister of Science?… Was that the Science of BULL SH*T?? Now I know what the ‘CH’ in your name stands for!!!! – Mohallay-Ke-Duplicate-Bhaand!!”
Another user tried to taunt the singer, urging him not to return to Pakistan. Sami responded playfully yet firmly, hinting at explosive revelations with his comment, “Abhi unke kareeb woh dhamaakedaar information aapko udhti hui aaee gi!! Aapko Lift Karade gi!! Enjoy,” cheekily referencing his own hit song Lift Karadey.
Adnan Sami, who officially became an Indian citizen in 2016 after years of legal battle, has often spoken about feeling unsafe in Pakistan. His move to India was driven by concerns for his family’s well-being.
With a music career spanning decades, international acclaim, and collaborations with legends like Asha Bhosle, Adnan Sami remains an icon with timeless hits such as Tera Chehra, Mahiya, and Pal Do Pal.
